These dramatic images show the devastating impact of the heat in Norfolk as gardens and homes burned on the UK's hottest day on record. Homes and gardens in the Ashill area are seen ablaze with smoke billowing into the sky. Drone operator William Gentry, who runs Pink Spitfire Aerial Photography, assisted Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service with their efforts on containing the devastating wildfires. The footage taken by the drone enabled firefighters figure out not only where the fires were burning, but where they had the potential to spread. William, 23, said: "I was able to take this footage and highlight the scene to on-the-ground firefighters." A major incident was declared by local authorities after the Fire and Rescue Service was called out to at least 70 separate incidents in one day.
