Australia's Indigenous artists ending up with fraction of profits

The Indigenous Art and Souvenir Industry pulls in around half a billion dollars a year but Indigenous artists rarely see the profits. Authentic producers are often undercut by cheaper mass-produced items and it's difficult for consumers to tell the difference. The productivity commission has released a new report recommending the industry be better protected and consumers better informed about 'inauthentic works.'
