Umno secretary-general Ahmad Maslan has taken a veiled jab at his Bersatu counterpart Hamzah Zainudin as Umno continues its nail-biting wait for the Registrar of Societies (ROS) to decide on its fate.
Speaking in an interview last night, Ahmad quipped that Hamzah - who is also the home minister - would surely help Umno through its troubles.
On July 7, the ROS said that a decision on Umno’s constitutional amendment application was to be revealed at the very latest by July 16.
The party had sought approval from the ROS to amend its constitution, in order to enable the postponement of its party polls until six months after a general election.
