The first case of confirmed monkeypox in India was detected in Kollam district of Kerala. Kerala Health Minister Veena George said the infection was diagnosed in a 35-year-old man who had returned from the UAE this week. The infected person is believed to have come in contact with another confirmed case in UAE.
