A senior economist at the Commonwealth Bank says Australia's underemployment figures need to be monitored over the coming months, as the Reserve Bank continues to lift the interest rate. June's underemployment rate increased 0.3 per cent to 6.1 per cent, indicating some are not getting as many hours as they'd like.
