Large parts of NSW's east coast on alert as heavy rain continues

Large parts of the east coast are on alert as heavy rain lashes NSW. Thousands have been told to leave their homes and more than 40 evacuation orders are in place, mainly in the Hawksbury-Nepean region and Sydney's south-west.
