Former BJP leader and Union Minister Yashwant Sinha, who had a falling out with his erstwhile party filed his nomination for the upcoming presidential elections. However, he has been nominated by a grouping of Opposition parties which include the Congress, NCP, Jammu & Kashmir National Conference, CPI(M), DMK, TRS, and RLD. However, the numbers do not seem to favour a win for Sinha as two big opposition parties, the BSP and BJD have chosen to back BJP’s candidate Draupadi Murmu.
