One Opposition Senator sought answers from the Trade Minister about what steps will be taken by the Government to mitigate the resulting increases in the cost of living, in light of recent reports of further increases in food and cooking oil prices.
The Opposition Senator also wondered if this could include an expansion of the list of zero VAT rated food items.
