Former Lamu Governor Issa Timammy has been cleared by the IEBC to contest for the Lamu gubernatorial seat in the August 9 general elections. Timammy said that he would revive the economy of Lamu once elected governor and called on residents and rival politicians to shun divisive and hateful politics.
