Singer KK’s last rites were performed in Mumbai on June 2 by his son. The popular singer died in Kolkata on May 31. KK passed away just hours after his performance at a concert. The initial preliminary findings of the post-mortem report said that the singer died due to cardiac arrest, reported PTI. The West Bengal government gave him a gun salute at the Kolkata airport. CM Mamata Banerjee paid tribute to the singer. KK’s mortal remains were brought to Mumbai on June 1. Several people from the music and film world arrived at KK’s residence on June 2 to pay their last respects. Alka Yagnik, Shreya Ghoshal, Shankar Mahadevan, Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Javed Ali, singer-composers Salim Merchant, Raghav and many others were seen arriving at KK’s residence. Filmmakers Kabir Khan and Vishal Bhardwaj were also seen at KK's residence. In a heart wrenching post, KK’s daughter Taamara posted details about the last rites and wrote, “Love you forever dad.” Watch the video to know more.
