Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has attacked the Centre over fuel price cut. Rahul Gandhi has said, "The government must stop fooling people, people deserve genuine relief from inflation."
Following the central government's announcement on Saturday that excise duty on petrol and diesel was slashed by Rs 8 and Rs 6 per litre, respectively, fuel prices in the states saw a significant decrease. Effective from today, the price of petrol in Delhi will be Rs 96.72. The existing price of petrol in the city is Rs 105.41. The excise cut resulted in a price difference of 8.69 rupees in the city. The existing price of diesel in Delhi is Rs 96.67. It will decrease to Rs 89.62.
