Sa kaniyang proklamasyon bilang senador, nagbigay ng mensahe si Taguig-Pateros Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano sa mga tatakbo para maging susunod na Senate President.
"I hate drugs. I hate e-sabong. I hate inefficiency in government, and I hate it when we seem helpless," pahayag ni Cayetano.
"A strong independent Senate that will help Malacanang when it needs help, but will also correct and fiscalize when they have to be told that something is wrong, is what our country needs now," dagdag niya.
Nagbanggit din ni Cayetano ng isang berso sa Bibliya tungkol sa plano ng Diyos.
"While the message is clear na maganda ang plano ng Panginoon sa atin, many forget that the devil also has plans for us. Plans to steal, to kill and to destroy. Nasa kamay po nating lahat whether we will follow God's plan for us and our beloved country.
Nasa ika-7 puwesto si Cayetano sa 2022 senatorial race, base sa total tally ng Commission on Elections. Makakasama niya ang kapatid niyang si Sen. Pia Cayetano sa Senado. #BilangPilipino2022
