QLD govt to implement 89 recommendations of taskforce

The Queensland Government is strengthening the state's domestic violence laws. From 2023, coercive control will become a criminal offence- carrying a maximum jail term of 14 years. It's something Sue and Lloyd Clarke have been pushing for since the death of their daughter Hannah Clarke, at the hands of her estranged husband. Sue and Lloyd were in Parliament this morning for the announcement. They say it was a bittersweet moment but they're pleased the government is taking the matter seriously.
