Landi Kotal is not a big City but a big Town near Torkham Afghanistan Pakistan Border. Torkham was the last railway station during the British raj, later Pakistan Railways. Now Rail service is abandoned. Pakistan's national highway N5 begins from Torkham and Landi Kotal is about 7 Km first big Town. Landi Kotal is now the part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but before PTI Imran Khan Govt. It was the headquarters and part of the Federal Administrated Territory Area of Khyber Agency. Mostly Afridi Tribes are living in the Khyber District of Kpk. It is among the oldest Bazar of NWFP. Landi Kotal Bazar is 46 Km away from Kpk provincial capital Peshawar and 7 Km from Torkham Pak Afghan Border.
