Chinese ship nearly rams PCG vessel
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Sunday said that a China Coast Guard ship steered very close to one of its patrol ships in waters near Bajo de Masinloc (Scarborough Shoal) in Zambales.
The PCG said that the incident which took place early this month was a clear violation of the 1972 International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea which set out, among other things, navigation rules to be followed by ships and other vessels to prevent collisions.
