The World Bank has proposed that the minimum withdrawal age for EPF savings be raised to 65 gradually -- one of the measures it says are needed to raise average balances of older people to ensure that retirement savings can be sustained for longer. The World Bank proposes a gradual transition over say a period of 20 years, but the process needs to begin soon if not immediately.
