Office of Election Crimes and Security, with a staff
of 15 to conduct election fraud investigations.
CNN reports it would require Gov. Ron DeSantis to appoint up to 10 law enforcement officers to investigate election crimes for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Currently, it's a misdemeanor in the state to retrieve and submit more than two mail-in ballots on behalf of other voters.
CNN reports the new legislation would see the act deemed a felony, and fines for organizations that don't adhere to election registration laws would increase from $1,000 to $50,000.
