Utpal Parrikar, son of former Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who was fighting election as Independent candidate from Panaji, accepted defeat as BJP took the lead in counting of votes on March 10. “As an Independent candidate it was a good fight; I thank the people. Satisfied with the fight but result is little disappointing,” said Utpal Parrikar, as he leaves from counting centre. He is trailing by 713 votes in Panaji.
