Dan broke his arm but had to wait 16 days for an operation as it wasn't deemed critical by the NHS. It's healed wonky as a result and he had a botched pin operation which means he may never regain the use of his right arm. This is also affecting his job as a personal trainer and he is worried about the financial impact.
