Ronnie Wood's touching tribute to late Prince Philip to be given to Queen - 'Very pleased'

Ronnie Wood, 74, who played bass guitar for the Rolling Stones, has unveiled a touching portrait of the late Prince Philip. The portrait was finished shortly before the Duke of Edinburgh passed away in April 2021, aged 99.   The rocker said the artwork was created with charcoal and is a brown sepia pastel of the royal. He said: “I’m very pleased with it. “It’s a charcoal, a brown sepia pastel of the Duke, and I’d finished it shortly before he died and I was going to show it to him. “And then William heard about it and he asked me to present it to him at Kensington Palace, and he wants to show the Queen, so I’m very honoured.”    Prince Philp died after being married to the Queen for 73 ye ...
