Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, former Union minister Ratanjit Pratap Narain Singh on Tuesday resigned from the Congress. He joined the BJP on Tuesday. Taking to Twitter, RPN Singh shared his resignation letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi. "Today, at a time, we are celebrating the formation of our great Republic, I begin a new chapter in my political journey. Jai Hind," he said in a tweet.
Meanwhile, a video of Samajwadi Party candidate Adil Chaudhary saying that not a single person will be spared when the party is voted to power in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election has gone viral on social media. BJP national spokesperson Amit Malviya also shared the video and slammed SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, questioning if he had only nominated poll candidates who were “anti-Hindu goons like Nahid Hasan and Adil Chaudhary”.
