Mark Cuban is the owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks and a known cryptocurrency advocate. Recently, Cuban has had quite a lot to say about the crypto market, taking to Twitter ($TWTR@US) for his latest comments. In a series of tweets on Wednesday, Cuban began to explain the difference between crypto noise and crypto signals. In Cuban’s mind, crypto noise is the speculation that flies around from one analyst to another. As Benzinga viewers are well aware, there are several crypto experts on Twitter that are often mentioned here by name. Cuban notes, however, that crypto signals come from the numbers. You can listen to the noise, but you must back up your decisions with hard facts. In the past, Cuban has said that Dogecoin is good for spending, and he’s even explained that crypto isn’t currency—these are projects that allow for the development of apps and business tools. He also went to Twitter to explain his investment philosophy, saying, “I said Doge was good for spending and better than a lottery ticket. You still think [bitcoin] is an inflation hedge? It’s not and never will be.”
