Tropical Cyclone Tiffany has crossed the northern territory coast as a category one event. The fast-moving system will bring heavy rainfall affecting rivers across the top end. Flood watches have already been issued for the Carpentaria, north-west and Bonaparte coastal rivers. The storm could drop up to 200 millimetres of rain on communities in its path.
