Lakhimpur Kheri Violence: UP Police Chargesheet Places Ajay Mishra Teni's Son At Crime Location

On January 3, the Uttar Pradesh police’s special team investigating the Lakhimpur Kheri incident has submitted a 5,000-page chargesheet to a local court. Last October, four farmers and a journalist were killed during a farmers’ protest in Lakhimpur Kheri. The chargesheet says Ashish Mishra, the son of MoS Home Ajay Mishra Teni was at the spot when the incident took place. The chargesheet mentions that Ashish Mishra was inside one of the SUV's involved in the attack. In the past three months, both father and son have claimed that Ashish was not in the SUV or even on the spot where the incident took place. Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “India is a witness!” Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also attacked the PM Modi led BJP government.
