Recently, at a religious gathering in Haridwar hate speeches were delivered. Open calls for Muslim genocide were made at the religious assembly in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. A case has now been registered. The FIR names just one person, a Muslim who recently converted into Hinduism. No arrest has been made in the case so far. The FIR was filed after a complaint was registered by Trinamool Congress leader and RTI activist Saket Gokhale. Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor tweeted, “Is it too much to expect Uttarakhand CM to take action under the existing hate-speech laws?” AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi tweeted, “It’s a clear case of incitement to genocide.” Watch the video to know more.
