On December 22, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) banned all gatherings to celebrate Christmas and also New Year this year. This comes amid the rising Covid-19 cases with Omicron variant. Delhi recorded 125 fresh Covid-19 cases, the highest in six months. In the national capital, all sports, entertainment, cultural, religious, social, political and festival associated gatherings are banned. Funerals and weddings can have not more than 200 people. Schools and colleges can operate if they strictly comply with standard operating procedure (SOP). Restaurants and bars will be permitted to open at half the seating capacity. The national capital has registered 57 Omicron cases so far. Meanwhile, from January 1, people who are not fully vaccinated will not be allowed inside malls, cinema halls, restaurants and grain markets in Haryana. A total of 213 cases of Covid-19 with the Omicron variant have been detected in India. Watch the video to know more.
