Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Greater Noida's Jewar on Thursday to lay the foundation stone for the much-awaited Noida International Airport, dubbed to be the biggest in Asia and the first net-zero emission airport in India.
The construction work for the Jewar airport has begun, and its operations will begin by 2024. Once it becomes operational, Uttar Pradesh will have five international airports, the highest for any state in India.
