Magdalena Andersson, Sweden’s first female prime minister, resigned from her position just eight hours after her appointment. Andersson was appointed as the prime minister on November 24. She resigned after her coalition partner quit the government. Andersson’s budget also failed to pass. Andersson was elected as under Swedish law, she only needed a majority of MPs not to vote against her.
