Days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi repealed the three farm laws, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi demanded that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) should be withdrawn at the earliest. He warned that if CAA and NRC are not scrapped, protestors will “take to the streets and turn it into Shaheen Bagh”.
