'Holiday Hunger' causing rise in demand for food banks over the summer months

Food banks across the country see a rise in demand over the summer months due to children no longer receiving free school meals. This causes families to struggle under the increased financial pressure.

Last summer, holiday clubs stepped in, serving almost 200,000 meals to children who would've otherwise gone without.

Medway Food Bank provides food for people in need across the Medway towns. Barbara Matthews Hodge and Christine Soper from the food bank joined us in the studio.
