Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot on November 17 appealed neighbouring states to take pollution seriously and said that the government had sent a proposal to District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) to allow standing passengers in buses, and metro. He said, “Delhi government taking all measures to curb pollution. Pollution problem is not Delhi-centric, it has to do with NCR, UP, Haryana and other adjoining states. Concrete steps should be taken by them. I request all Delhiites to cooperate and shift to public transport.”
