Border Security Force (BSF) Additional Director General (ADG) YB Khurania on November 17 informed that the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has allowed to extend the jurisdiction in West Bengal, Punjab, Assam from 15 km to 50 km. “FIR registration power is not with us. Whenever we nab a person at the border or seize anything, we always hand them over to the concerned law enforcement agencies. This is our limited mandate,” he added.
