On February 3, students, activists, and other citizens gathered at Delhi’s #MandiHouse in support of the farmers who have been protesting against the Centre's new farm laws at Delhi’s borders since November.
The #CitizensMarch, scheduled from Mandi House to Jantar Mantar, was met with police barricades. The police imposed Section 144 citing the ongoing pandemic and threatened the protesters with legal repercussions.
Protesters told Newslaundry's Ayush Tiwari and Supriti David why they've come forward, and what they think of the #media and government's attitude towards the protests so far.
