Sri Krishan, a sugar mill worker in #LakhimpurKheri's Tamoulipur village, had written 15 letters to various officials before an FIR was filed by the #UPPolice. In April, his daughter, Pappi Devi, died under suspicious circumstances following harassment by her in-laws for #dowry. Hospital records reveal that Pappi Devi had given birth to a healthy girl child.
In August, the skeletal remains of the baby were exhumed metres away from the spot where Pappi Devi had been cremated.
