#NGOs have a long history of helping to fill the social gap where for-profit companies do not operate. During the #Covid lockdown, which caused a large-scale humanitarian crisis for migrant workers, it was NGOs that came to the rescue by providing relief to these workers.
Now, the Modi government is trying to change the way the NGOs function by passing an amendment to the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act or #FCRA through Parliament.
