At Ghaziabad, a migrant worker finally goes home

Rahish, 45, walked from South Delhi to Anand Vihar during the national lockdown. He is headed for Shravasti in Uttar Pradesh, more than 700 kilometres away. “I work at a sewing shop and earn Rs 400 everyday. I lived inside the shop, but the owner has closed it. I didn’t have anything to eat so I’m leaving for home,” he told Newslaundry.
