Poona Horse is also known as 'Fakr-e-Hind' and it is surprising that this name was not given by India but by Pakistan. During the 1965 war, the commanding officer of this battalion was Lieutenant Colonel Hanoot Singh. His soldiers had unwavering faith in him.
