The sports ministry feted India's hockey players who participated in the Tokyo Olympics. The Indian men's hockey team won a bronze medal for the first time after 1980 Moscow Olympics while the women's team entered the semifinal for the first time ever. The women's hockey team eventually finished fourth but their fight was exemplary. Both teams have improved their world rankings. Sports minister Anurag Thakur praised both the outfits.
