US's East Coast Hit By Intense Storm, Nor'easter Causes Power Blackout Across State Lines

On October 27, northeastern United States was hit by a very powerful storm. The storm knocked down trees and more than 60,0000 homes were left without power. As per poweroutage.us website, in the state of Massachusetts 495,000 homes were left without power as of 9:00 am (1300 GMT). The National Weather Service (NWS) called the situation dangerous. In Duxbury, 26 per cent of the town was without power. Rhode Island was severely affected, with 96,000 homes without electricity. Several schools had to be closed down in New England. The roads were littered with debris. The storm was reported just weeks after Hurricane Ida inundated the Northeast. Watch the video to know more.
