'Dramatic footage emanating from Italy shows Lake Resia, as well as the "reason" it's best known for across the globe.
The video filmed by Raphael Gsell highlights the church steeple standing steady despite being partially submerged in the water. The tower is shown from multiple different angles throughout the clip.
"The lake [Resia] is famous for boasting the steeple of a submerged 14th-century church; when the water freezes, this can be reached on foot," the filmer said. "People have been told that during the winter season, it's possible to hear the church bells ring. However, the bells were taken off back in July 1950, a few days prior to the demolition of the church nave."
This video was recorded sometime during July 2021.
