The Information and Boradcasting ministry has banned the telecast of condom ads between 6 am and 10 pm because they are “indecent, especially for children”. The government invoked provisions of the Cable Television Networks Rules, 1994, for this act. Condom ads can be shown post 1 pm till 6 am.
