Shashi Bhushan Pandey, a visually impaired student, became the face of protests against the proposed hostel fee hike in Jawaharlal Nehru University. Pandey, who supports his studies by writing poetry, was injured during a protest march on November 18 when police beat him up. In conversation with Outlook's Assistant Editor, Qadri Inzamam, Pandey says he will have to quit studies, like hundreds of other students at JNU, if the new hostel fee is not rolled back.
