China placed Lanzhou under lockdown on Tuesday in a bid to stamp out a domestic spike in covid cases.
Lanzhou, a city of four million, has seen a surge in coronavirus cases in recent days.
As per the reports, residents have been told not to leave their homes except for emergencies.
Meanwhile, India sees the lowest surge in covid cases in the last eight months(12,4280) on Tuesday.
