Sonia Gandhi took over the Indian National Congress (INC) in 1998, seven years after his husband and then India's Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated. It was under her leadership that INC came to power in 2004 and in 2009 when she was in the party's National advisory board. But more often than not, she has shied away from the public eye as well as the media giving very little on how she is in real life.
