اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ خَيْرَ عُمْرِي آخِرَهُ ، وَخَيْرَ عَمَلِي خَوَاتِمَهُ ، وَخَيْرَ أَيَّامِي يَوْمَ أَلْقَاكَ
Allahummaj ‘al khayra ‘umury aakhirahu, wa khayra ‘amaly khawatimahu, wa khayra ayyami yawma alqaka.
Translation
O Allah, make the end of my life the best part of my life, my best deeds my last ones make the best of days the day in which I meet you.
(Majma’uz Zawaid, vol.10 pg.158.)
Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (radiyallahu’anhu) is also reported to have recited this du’a.
(Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah, Hadith: 30124 & Amali Ibn Bishran, Hadith: 1042)
One who has the habit of remaining in wudu will also have a good death insha Allah.
Abu Mas’ud reported: The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), peace and blessings be upon him said, “Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like one who did it.”
Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1893
Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Muslim
