Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State (MoS) for Home Ajay Mishra, was accused of running over protesting farmers with his car on Sunday in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri. Two farmers died as a result of the incident, which led to a huge outcry, the police said. The farmers were protesting the Centre's three farm bills ahead of an event in Ajay Mishra's paternal village in Lakhimpur Kheri's Tikunia, where UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya was to be the chief guest. They had planned to show black flags to the deputy chief minister. The farmers also demonstrated in front of Ashish Mishra's car when he was going to receive Deputy CM. While speaking to Aaj Tak, Rakesh Tikait told that four farmers have died in this incident, while more than ten are injured and bullets have also been fired. The farmers were just protesting peacefully. The minister's son came and drove the car over the farmers. It is not wrong to protest that a car was mounted on farmers, this is not China.
