Last year in March, when COVID-19 lockdown was enforced in India, hundreds of companies shut their offices overnight and sent their employees home.
In order to protect the employees from the lethal infection and simultaneously continue the businesses, all the companies adopted the Work From Home (WFH) concept.
Now, with the daily Covid infections declining and India witnessing record number of vaccinations, the companies are apparently planning to end remote work policy.
According to a national media, IT behemoth Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which employs more than 5 lakh people, is reportedly planning to end work from home and return to the office by December this year.
Reports suggest that initially the IT giant is planning to ask some of its employees to return to offices before switching to its hybrid model, under which only 25% of its staff will work from office by 2025, and the rest will be working remotely.
