On Monday, the Taliban claimed that Panjshir province, the last stronghold of anti-Taliban resistance forces in Afghanistan, was "completely conquered". They said the country was now finally "out of the vortex of war". In a video posted by Asvaka news agency on Twitter, armed Taliban fighters can be seen entering the Governor's house in Panjshir and hoisting their flag.
