Several states have re-opened schools with restrictions, a move that the Indian Medical Association (IMA) termed positive, adding that the government should ensue strict adherence to Covid-19 protocol and open schools in an appropriate way. “This is a very complex decision which has to be taken. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) have been issued by the various state governments. It's the right time when government should come forward and take a calculated risk and open the schools in an appropriate way,” said IMA president Dr JA Jayalal.
