Paralympic Committee of India President Deepa Malik on Saturday congratulated table tennis player Bhavina Patel as she created history by becoming the first Indian to enter the finals of the Paralympic Games table tennis competition. “Bhavina performed beautifully. Super proud! This will be the first medal for India in Table Tennis, in Paralympics and country's first medal in Tokyo Paralympics. ongratulations to her, I'm very happy. Women are creating history,” Deepa said. “Her opponent was among the top-3 players and Bhavina had lost a match against her 2 years back. She has converted her loss into a victory today and changed the colours of her medal too. We are excited about her match in the finals,” she added. Bhavina continued her dream run in the ongoing Tokyo Paralympics on Saturday as she stormed into the gold medal match after defeating Zhang Miao of China 3-2 in her Class 4 match.
